Silk Necktie Sizing/Special Orders

XL Ties Chicago sells 2 lengths of silk neckties directly from our website. The size listed as “standard” is the typical length that you would expect to find in any retail store. That length is typically between 56 and 58 inches. Our “standard” neckties are approximately 57 inches in length (with slight variations that occur during the handmade process.) Our “extra long” neckties are longer than the traditional long neckties you will find in retail stores. A typical extra long tie can vary in length between 59 inches and 63 inches, depending on the manufacturer. Based on our own experiences, even 63 inches is too short for the typical big or tall man. That is why XL Ties Chicago ties are 66 inches long (with slight variations that occur during the handmade process.) Additionally, we have moved the keep (the loop on the back side of the tie) up, to allow you to tuck in your tie. SPECIAL ORDERS For those customers who find that our “extra long” ties are still too short for them, we encourage you to call us, to find out how we can accommodate you. We know the frustration of not being able to find the right size tie. Simply contact us and let us know what the ideal length for you would be. We will walk you through how to find the correct length for you. Additionally, if you find our “standard” ties too short, and our “extra long” ties too long, contact our office and we will make every effort to accommodate you in a timely fashion. For future reference we will keep your information on file and when you let us know in the "Comments" section of the checkout process, we will be sure to get you the appropriate length for each of your orders. PLEASE NOTE Any special orders will require extra time, therefore it will naturally cause a delay in delivery. Typically we are able to handle special requests within a week. Unfortunately, all special order sales are final, as we cannot guarantee the resale of the bespoke item.
